One of the best bang for buck scopes avaliable right now is the GPO scopes .

Here in Maine they are called "Pat-ridge. For he Pat's on the ridge.
Same as Cartridge; here they are referred to as Cat- ridges. No R's involved. A Coleman lantern is called a " lantin" dropping the R again. The breast are commonly added to Baked Beans. Lots of folks luv them fried out in bacon...
Just an update on New England bird hunting. Seams to be alot of native Woodcock around. Patridge numbers are down, but with good dog work, it's still possible to have a great day! 3 limits yesterday.....

This is something I have carried the last 20 years or so, extremely handy for lots of tasks. 1st one being to cut a 26" hardwood pole bout 1" diameter ( green) to put across a 200lb plus whitetails antlers , lashed with parachute cord to get him outta the woods.... it is always in my rear game...
Ok when the smoke all clears if you fancy your self as a highliner, and you like the best, of course these Edge cameras are NOT for you. Don't mess around , just jump to the head of the class! This is the only camera you should consider! And at only $800 for a 2 pack, what the heck....... it's...
This picture depicts how fast camera can capture an animal walking into the edge of the lens. Here is an English Setter again camera is set at lowest resolution(4 Meg pix) here. I will set it up to HD quality (33 megs)
Just to show what it can do with it at 8X more resolution just for...

For me it's a breath of fresh air to listen to someone that has really been there and done it all. Ron sent me a copy of his first movie production he released in 1964 I think, it was called " Alaska Safari" loaded with scenes from hunting camp, kill shots, taken all over Alaska with spectacular...
He is some character, he used to tell us "young fellas" some wild story's about the old days, 40 years ago! I have always had a huge respect for him, as a premiere guide and as a highly regarded fellow pilot! Luv is tales of early Alaska when you could shoot and fly same day, their association...
Do yourself a favor and listen to what One of the all time Legends still living, talks about 75 years hunting & fishing the "GreatLand". He is an old friend of mine, used to see him alot on the rivers, the " real deal". For sure.
I will be smoking up a couple of 7/8lb Togue to go with 100 Perch fillets; to use as Hor d vours at the big "Make a Wish" ( for disabled kids) on Aug 9th , taking place here in Exeter, Maine.
Thanks Mike!
I am real keen on the gun and the GPO scope. It turns out to be a great upgrade over the TC Venture I sold. Since it will spend most of its life on the wing strut of our Cub or on the Ski-doo, as a coyote gun: That will offset the fact it is an 8lb gun scoped up! And it does barely...
Could be a Coyotes worst nitemare??
70gr Varmagettons.......
As you folks that like figured wood can plainly see the light angle has everything to do with the projection of the fiddleback in this one.....
