Yep that will work! And that old Speer bullet has been around for years, with its 446 BC it has a proven track record on big game. Should make a great little 243 for us. Brookies are biting, better get back to fishing!

Found an old 243 load, we had for 100gr Speer BT, that used 40.5gr of WW 760 so decided to load up a box........ I set the trigger down to 40 oz, and went out to see how it would shoot, that handload. I think it is going to work. What say " the jury" ???

My 30/06 with Hornady Superformance chronographed about identical, to my friends 300 H&H that was shooting standard factory loads. Of course the H&H could be loaded to trim the 06, BUT with Superformance in an 06 you really have a LT Magnum......... believe it or not, as Ripley would say! E
