My '06 didn't like 165ABs very much. Went to 180ABs an WOW, what a difference. It loved them.

Greg, here's my 7 RUM recipes: Bullet Powder & charge Primer COL Brass & Trim 150ET Retumbo 91 GM215M 3.655 Rem 2.83 160AB Retumbo 91 GM215M 3.635 Rem 2.83 Regardless of magazine length, there's no way I can get the above two bullets even close to the lands on my Rem 700 SPS...

I have a 375RUM, it's the Remington LSS model (laminate stock, stainless). It is a tad heavy, not quite as much as my thumbhole stocked 300RUM, but I find it just as easy to shoot as my 300RUM. My 375RUM is pushing 260ABs at 2990 FPS.

My 300RUM has become pretty much my main rifle. I like how it feels and it's easy to shoot, but does get a little heavy at the end of the day though. Wow, looking at picture I took, I've had it 9 years now..... :shock:

Finding any kind of RUM brass is rather difficult right now.

I'm going to develop a load next spring using Nosler 338RUM brass and 250ABs. Managed to get 200 pieces of their 2nd brass through SPS. Dang spendy stuff..... :shock: :shock: :shock:

Lot of good info here. I've contemplated getting some 30 Cal 190 ABLR 2nds from SPS to try in my 300RUM, but I keep thinking why???? The 200ABs have performed exceptionally well, every animal they have hit has gone down quickly. Why mess with something that works? Plus, where I hunt and shot all...

H110 or Win 296 work well.

I think I would have to buy a 27 Nosler rifle if they made one. All the others would be basically replicating what my ultramags can do.

You're going to have problems shooting a 6.5mm bullet out of a barrel already made for a .277 bullet. Also, when did Nosler come out with a 27 Nosler? I know of the 26 & 28 Nosler?

I'd like to see some 375 260ABs in the blem bullet section so I can stock up on them some more. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Since I own and load for all 4 RUMs, I can say that the magazine is the limiting factor for OAL on all four. In fact, with my 7 RUM, I can't seat the bullets out far enough to touch the lands even if the magazine space would allow it. The longest OAL I can get is 3.67" and still function...

I've only used Nosler brass in 30-06, but haven't had any problems seating GM210M Fed primers. Time will tell if I have issues with my 338RUM brass I just got.

It's taken around 10 years to get to my current inventory of Nosler bullets, be it seconds or firsts. I gave the SPS watching a rest for a few years, but I'm back at it. You have to check it almost several times a day. The popular calibers and bullet types go really fast, like a matter of 30 min...

55.5gn of H414 flat works in my '06 with 180ABs. TheBear_78 - what bullet are you using in your 375RUM. I'm using 7828SSC in my 375RUM with 300ABs and IMR4350 with 260ABs.
