    Opinions on Speer Hot-Cor bullets?

Old thread that was resurrected. The Hot Cors are a good bullet like all have said. Ive only used the 180gr FN version out of my 35 Rem Marlin. They've done excellent on deer and hogs. They've all exited.

Any plans for a new rifle in 2025?

I bought an Accumark at the beginning of the year in 257 Weatherby. I havent shot it a ton, but its been awesome so far. No issues.

    HG 45 Info

The diameter and weight seem to indicate for the good ol' 45 ACP but would work in 450 Bushmaster and 45 Colt etc.

    2025 Hunting Season

Awesome bucks! That powerbelt sure got mangled but obviously did the job.

    it ends in 11, but isn't a 19 or 20

Interesting pistol! There are many cool varieties of what is essentially the 2011 platform. Let us know how it shoots. Putting a red dot on it?

    SoDak West River Buck

Nice buck and rifle. The ABLR held up great to what I imagine was a bit of velocity.

    168 ABLR .284

I haven't but I also haven't shot a ton of these. I've used some in my 7mm PRC and found a good sub-moa load at 100 yards that puts the hurt on deer. My bullets were factory seconds, but I didn't have any big groups or flyers. I might check some for the heck of it though. Specifics on your load...

The smoke pole spoke today; Schwarber is no longer a free agent...

Awesome buck and so cool you had history with him. That buck has G3's for days!

    Coyote vs 6 Creed

    Nice job, great looking rifle.

Old Stock gun powder vs New Old Stock.

Powder and primers last a very long time if stored properly. I've never done a comparison like y'all have but I've been given some 30-50 year old unopened cans of powder and primers and they shot great.

    Thoughts on next year's build

What about the 450 Bushmaster? Same bolt face and Ruger chambered the Americans in that caliber.

    Awesome buck!

    Federal’s 7mm Backcountry

Seems to be doing much better. Both those bullets are great hunting bullets, but your rifle definitely likes the fusions!

    277 Fury load data?

Good to hear a range report. 2800+ from a .277 cal 150gr in a case roughly 308 size from a 20" barrel is nothing to sneeze at. My 24" barreled 270 Win did right at 2900 fps with 150s! What kind of loads are you working with?

    Get it while it's available!!

Those aren't terrible prices and they have a good selection. Almost bought some other powders (Grand and H4895 are calling my name) but I need to just use what I got! They have quite a few primers too.

    8mm remington magnum

Sweet rifle and it's really moving those 220's! Is there anything RL26 can't do well?

    180g Nosler AB - 30-06 R22

That's some impressive velocity! Not much you can't hunt with that load. Modern powders have really improved a lot of the older calibers.

    Primer Question

I haven't done it often, but have removed live primers very carefully and reused them without issue. Not sure I'd use them for anything important like hunting loads though.
