They work pretty well in the 35 REM TC at a 2200 start for me as well. Pretty sane load really and very accurate from that 14” gun.

Congrats on the deer! With the way the bullet is blowing through it just may not be that huge in expanded diameter so you get amazing penetration and good expansion, just not huge expansion that seems to help out deer down faster. Hard telling exactly but the end result looks great from here.
