Same here in MI. Salt, brines, sand are most common but it depends on the temperature. Below 17°f salt doesn't work. Needless to say, it's a challenge to keep rust and corrosion away. Keeping them washed and waxed does help. My GMC is a 2018 and do my best to keep her clean. JD338
