The original BT design was fragile so Nosler made the design more robust. The same is true with the Solid Base design. Today's BT and SB bullets are very accurate and dependable game bullets.

Maybe it's just time to get a new chronograph. Garmin makes a good one and the price point has come down. They are so easy to set up you will probably use it every time you shoot.

I have found StaBall 6.5 to be another excellent powder in the 375 H&H Mag with the 260 gr E-Tip.
I've shot this load out to 600 yards.
In the near future I will try SB 6.5 with the 260 AB, 300 AB and 300 PT.
The 375 H&H Mag is a fantastic cartridge and a ton of fun to shoot.

Yes, Grand seems to be a good powder. I'm enjoying some great results with Grand in the 6.5;Wby RPM. I plan on trying it in the b338 RUM, 30 Nosler and 280 AI.

I don't have the LR experience that others here have but I've always felt 400 yards separates the men from the boys. Verification of a drop chart is a must. It takes some time and tweaking but once you have it, you are halfway there.
