Alliant powders are pretty much non existent up here. Hodgdon and VV are more readily available. With the 55gr, which powders did you find shot well?

Which do you prefer between N140 and 150?

I'm leaning more towards Varget or H4895 due to the temperature variations here in Alberta. Got myself a nice assortment of bullets to try out ranging from 40-55gr.

I have heard Big Game is good with the 22-250 but haven’t tried it yet. Will have to look into.

What powders are folks using with 50-55gr bullets? Seems Varget is popular along with H4895.

So I ended up with two scopes. One is a Burris FFII 3-9x40 which I intended to use on the 22WMR, but also picked up a Tasco Titan World Class Plus 3-9x44. This one is made in Taiwan and might end up putting it on the 22 and using the Burris on my 30-06.

I might have found a good candidate. A near new Burris FFII 3-9x40 for a nice price.

That is what I was wondering. Would a scope meant for center fires give me parallax issues at say 50yds?

Good evening I’m looking for scope suggestions for my new to me Marlin XT-22.

Just picked up a nice old BSA CF2 in 222 and the last time I loaded for the triple deuce was close to 40yrs ago. My load was the Sierra 52gr MK over BL-C(2). Thinking of trying it again, but hear H322 is a better choice. What do you think?

I have always gone with the BT and 58-59grs of H4831. It just seems to work. Tried and proven is the way to go 👍

Is there such a thing as a control load for the 270? I’m thinking a 130gr bullet over H4831? The question is, what bullet to start with. The BT is always a favourite in just about any cartridge.

I have some Sierra’s and 180BT to try. My previous 8’s liked the 220 over RL25.

Has anyone purchased one of these? If so, what’s your opinion of it?
