I've gone the Iron Press/550/650 route to handle most my reloading tasks, but this turret press has me thinking. I have a reloading bench with rails so it's easy to swap presses on and off as needed. (Except the 650, that case feeder is just too damn bulky to move often.)
How nice would...
This has been great info, thank you all.
I do have a follow up question on the neck sizing + occasional FL sizing.
Do you have any noticeable shift in velocity/accuracy/POI when you FL size instead of just bump it back?
I was able to run down a Bergara 300WM HMR awhile back and have just gotten started reloading for it. I'm looking for some suggestions on which approach to take.
Anyone have a take on the pros and cons of which resizing to do? Neck size only? Bump the shoulder? Full length?

Hi - hoping you can help. Using both IE and Chrome on three windows PCs and I keep running into andbiasue with the banner ad’s underlying link is triggered every time I try and login. The image from the banner keeps getting jumbo sized and I’m out of luck. I’m having to use a phone to get...
For plinking/match ammo, I don't separate and accuracy is a non-issue. (USPSA)
For home defense ammo, with premium bullets, I only use new brass with a single headstamp.
I'm with most of the other posters, in that you're in good shape with a .308 and a premium bullet like the partition or AB. The only thing you really need to be thoughtful of is that your max range is lower. But, realistically, most folks aren't going to take a shot over 300 and you're just...
I work in an office as an IT manager. My entire job happens between my ears. I spent at least 6-8 hours a day in meetings.
For me, reloading is something tangible. I get to work with my hands and know that what comes out the other side of my press is as perfectly crafted as I'm capable of...
I'm not sure I'd agree with that as a blanket statement. The 105s are borderline in 1:9.25 and you only get them stable if you push them really really hard.. I did a ton of research when my results were marginal with the 105s and it seems sort of luck of the drop whether you can get them...
One item to note...
Ruger got something really right on the .243. The twist rate on this is 1:7.7'' That has to have been done to stabilize the darlings of the .243 tactical crowd. The 105g AMAX and the 115g DTAC need faster twist rates to stabilize.
