Have been looking through my notes and it looks like IMR 7828 was never the best performer-in my rifle or several others I loaded for. Sorry.
IMR 4350 and rl-22 seem to be the favorites. I know you didn’t ask about them. Rl-22 with the 180 A frame and original tbbc.
Quit shooting off the...
1. I generally don’t even dream this big but. . . I would like a side by side dangerous game rifle. Something .404 ish, not so big I can’t handle it well.
2. Caesar Guerini o/u in 16 ga. A word of warning about those beretta 20’s. They break at the wrist in the chukar world and beretta will...
We moved to a small town 17 I think years ago. Since then they added a high school, then two jr. high schools and one stop light and need another one. Added a grocery store and last summer McDonald’s and little Caesar’s found us.
The population has doubled.
There used to be big green fields...
I had all my duck and goose meat in the freezer. A buddy thin sliced it and made it into jerky on his smoker. It is excellent.
I would think turkey would be even better!
I need to try that option
Mount it! love them smoked and pulled in tacos or Enchiladas . My favorite is simple- cut into small cubes and pieces, crock potted in heavy cream and cream of chicken soup and served over rice
I do own a pair of Swarovski slc 10x40 but they came later in life after suffering with garbage for much too long.
I also have a couple Swarovski 3.5x18x44 scopes on rifles I use for longer range shooting. Love them!
But I realized at some point that leupold was most likely my price point...
Utah followed Wyo. in raising prices for non residents and I agree with the policy. It is one way to limit the number of applicants and retain tags for residents and puts more money back into conservation projects, studies etc. im sure there’s more to it but avoid politics with lusty passion...
Just put me and the wife and kids in for Utah tags. Dedicated tag for deer for me. Point for my wife and rifle for the rest.
Not much hope but bighorn and mtn goat.
A couple of us for limited entry elk. I just bought a point as I have something cooking for this summer, you’ll hear about it...
I apologize, I neglected to follow up on this thread. They are tight at first but loosen up nicely with time and use.
My 16 arrived and I put it to the test on the most expensive duck hunt I’ve been on-rented a blind on private property. Me and the little girl with the 20 gauge limited up. I...
Apologies for adding to your post. Three of us hunting outside of utah. Went for pheasants and killing afew each day but the chukars this year were unbelievable.
I don’t know the model and not home to check-BUT. . . I bought a Franchi 20 gauge after repeated disappointing experiences with beretta. The 20 quickly became my daughter’s favorite. I use it when she isn’t with me. I like the weight, the wood is nice, the rounded grip is pleasing and the...
I’ve had good experiences with leupold, Swarovski and vortex. Sadly I’ve had to send more equipment to vortex than the others and won’t buy vortex anymore. I’m glad yours was a positive experience
