Just saw this post. I've done some shooting with a couple of different Canik pistols. Accurate and reliable. Very easy to shoot well, and a good value I thought.
I've been pleased with the accuracy of Nosler Partitions from a variety of cartridges. Agree with SJB that a good thump helps.

All shot well over the years. First started shooting Partitions back in the 1970's - they were made...
I've got a mess of those I bought from SPS years ago and haven't made sufficient use of them yet...
Based on what the 115's have done with Retumbo, am thinking Grand should get them to 3200 ish...

Thanks for that info! Sending a 175 downrange accurately at 3,000 fps from a 7mm Rem mag is terrific. My ancient H870 load was over 2900 fps, but that was long ago and H870 had drawbacks.
I bought 8 pounds of Grand recently and have seen good results so far in the 25-06, am at 3350 fps with a...
New photo of my grizzly skull and a 30-06 with the 200 grain Nosler Partition loaded to 2600 fps. Heck of a hunt. Sometimes it's hard to believe that was almost nine years ago.
'Flex - you have said good things about the 185 grain Nosler JHP at 45+P pressure (or 45 Super level) for deer. I'm sitting on at least 1500 of them and the accuracy is wonderful!
If I'm out deer hunting and see a wild hog is that bullet up to the job? Or better considered as a whitetail...
Well, not at the house. It's a tiny suburban lot. I guess if I really wanted to meet the local police I could take a few shots... ;)
There's a great indoor range about 10 minutes away. It's fine for 25 yards and closer.
I'm also a member at an old rifle club that goes to 200 yards. I like...
The Ruger belonged to a shooting buddy. That thing shot great. Reliable and accurate. As I recall it was the all steel version, but... it was a few years back.
I like the way the Commander sits in the hand, but prefer the all-steel 5" 1911 for shooting. Also have a 3.5" Colt Officer's Model...
Ya... It's that time of life when I should be taking a look at which rifles my sons might want and use, then my own favorites until I'm too old to hunt. Sell the rest, maybe to fund one last really great hunt... :)
Am addicted to the 260 grain Nosler Accubond for my 375 H&H. Shot three black bear with it some years ago, from 15' to 300 yards. Excellent performance at those very different ranges. Excellent accuracy as well. There are less expensive bullets that will of course do just fine.
One thing I...
Couldn't resist this 1960 vintage S&W K14 with the 6" barrel. It feels great in hand and has a superb double-action trigger pull. Brought it home, adjusted my dies first for full wadcutters, and recently for some cast semi wadcutters. It is a joy to shoot!
I've got the 148 grain HBWC...
