I did find out last year that there was something off with the cambering of this barrel. Maybe reaming a 223 Rem out wasn’t the best idea. Fast forward to today and I ordered a Shilen Alternut barrel like my 375 Wby. Starting tomorrow they are increasing their prices. Their leads times are out...

With more solid copper bullet available today , I try to choose a faster twist for them.

BL-C2 is another good powder I’ve used in my Whelen. The best powder I’ve used in mine is the long gone RL-12 , it just works.

I currently have 2 centerfire presses a Hornady LnL (primary) and a RCBS RCll. Shotshell MEC 600jr MarkV in 410 and a Lee load-all 12ga with a 20ga conversion. Then there is a HF arbor press that is strictly for my 6mm Creed with a LE Wilson inline seater.

Years back my brother spined a deer with a BT out of a 30-06 with same results. I keep reading that they toughen up the BT today.
