With my Cabela's Bucks I spent $137 for a Henry steel framed 45-70. Waiting a long time to find a hunting version of this gun.
Now to decide if I put a red dot on it or not.
Its the H010G model - walnut \ blued round barrel \ recoil pad . Hunting style lever rifle.
I'm excited to try something...
We've had Tacoma, Rav4, 4Runner and Tundra's in our family. Had Dodge diesels (son still has one). My diesel is a Chev 3500. For daily run rigs its been mostly Toyota. Zero repairs so far. Toyota is always a good bet
Enjoy
Now that elk and deer season is over, my wife was getting restless today and asked lets go for a ride or a walk. Well since my left knee made the decision we went for a ride up on the ridge. I grabbed a cup of coffee and away we went. It was 30 degF and windy today. First rock we came across...
I have 3 different bullets for my 338F. One of them is the 200gn Speer, 200gn BT and 210gn PT. In my last 338F the Speer grouped the best. I now have Sav 16. Need to start over again. I'm hoping the PT will group.
The Kimber by far is a better looking firearm. I have that 16 in a Hogue...
At sunset the other evening I looked to my son and said -"perfect time to check some scopes".
I grabbed rifle with a Zeiss V6, one with a V4, one with a Z5 Swaro and another with a Vortex Viper HSLR.
The sun was setting behind the hill side and washed out everything in the field underneath it...
I've loaded the 165 BT a few times but settled on the180 for my WSM. I remember one afternoon shooting rocks out to 650yds with the 165s and with the WSM speeds I was impressed with the ability to buck the wind and still make hits.
I too have KKM barrels on my G20 and G40. Very happy with them as they shoot better then my. I haven't put lead bullets down the barrel yet but I plan on it with the G40 for hunting.
