I have a #1 RSI in 257 Robert’s and it loves 80gr TTSX. I do have have some 110gr Accubonds that I want to try. Previous owner said it shined with 120gr Partitions.

With that mind set I may as well get a 338 Lapua.

I had originally gotten the rifle around 2000 and was having some work done on it a few years later and the gunsmith messed up my action so I just put everything in the safe and left it set. Finally decided to get a new action and have a reputable gunsmith do the work.

If my long shots weren’t under 100 yards I would keep it and use it. It’s a little much at 50 yards for white tailed deer.

Does any major brass manufacturer make 257 Robert’s AI brass ? All I can find is boutique brass at about $60 for 20 pieces. At those prices I would rather go with the Creed just for brass availability. I don’t feel like fire forming brass for it either.

I have a 870 Super Mag I purchased when they first came out. I have used it to kill everything from doves to deer. Those 3 1-2 inch shells didn’t bother me as much when I was younger, even got a rifled slug barrel for it when I hunted military installations. Definitely a reliable gun.

I use this Caldwell Bench rest for the front and a bag for the rear.

You made a good decision on the twist. My next 25 caliber will have that twist rate.
