I read somewhere that the rem cl round nose had thicker jackets than spritzer cl. I don't remember where I read it but think might have been handloadee magazine
any one ever use American reloading surplus powders? I ordered some 716-2 it is suppose to be similar to Ramshot Magnum. Just curious, hope to hear something. https://americanreloading.com/collections/rifle-powders/products/mp-716-2-smokeless-rifle-powder-8-lbs. I hope it works in 300 RUM .
They are my go to blacktail deer bullet in the 35 Whelen loaded to 2600 fps w/ blc2. I have never recovered them and deer generally DRT. I ran out and tried hornady rn and deer still dear but have recovered jackets and bits of lead from separation.
Just got a deal on a browning Abolt 2 in 300 Rum. Rifle was made in 2010. It has a recoil hawg muzzle brake. And a egw 20 moa scope base. Wondering if anyone has the same rifle and what are your favorite loads for it. Probably going to load 200 grn bullets n back up rifle for elk.
prior to Alemeda fire I had lots of RL15, since the fire I have not been able to find any. I have 2lbs of cfe223 & powrepro 2000. JD338 what do you think of using seirra data for the accubond bullet?
i use the same dies, sometimes I'll stuff tinfoil or tissue paper in the bullet guide if tip of round nose catches. I use same dies in 30-06 and 35 whelen, and 6.5 carcano when loading round nose.
I see data for in the newest sierra manual for their 225 grn bullet. just wondering what would be a safe load with the accubond? sierra list 66 grns starting and 71.6 max.
I would be interested in cfe 223 data also
