No a disconnected ramp certainly won't help the trigger movement, but it is a possible small detail to add to custom 1911. I guess the suggestion was a tad out of sync with the flow of the conversation.

I'm thinking there isn't enough wiggle room in a model 70 controlled feed for an 80,000 psi load. Maybe a Remington 700 could handle it.

Looking good. A few of the things I like in a 1911 is a 30 lpi checkered front strap and and remove the radius or undercut the trigger guard at the front strap and a high grip safety.

I use Reloder 22 for heavy bullets and Reloder 16 for light bullets. Of course they aren't currently available but they are perfect for 243 Win. I would likely try that powder or even maybe Ramshot Grand as it performs similar to Reloder 22 though a bit slower.

I had some small primer pocket from Federal l.e. ammo I got after qualifications It was too much trouble for range fodder so I tossed em. I agree with frank that the priming system on a Dillon is too much trouble to change.

Monarch is manufactured in Brazil (mon headstamp), some is made by Prvi (PPU headstamp) and Monarch in Turkey (trk headstamp). Those are just the ones I know about. I guess I'll pick some up next time out, deprime them and see how they clean up.
