well, it was originally a 270win.... then I installed a used barrel 7x57..... and it keyholed..... wore right out! so I hope it was justified 8)

On January 4th, I fedex'd my pushfeed m70 7x57 to Oregon to have JES rebore it. It arrived back to my greasy hands today! I am very pleased and am very excited to shoot it!!!

I just got off the phone with JES. Shipping the gun tomorrow.

no i have never cast a chamber. I can spin the barrel off easily if need be.....

I slugged the barrel... bore is .283" I can't get a consistent measurement of lands, but I'd guess somewhere around .281" (seams a little weak) I want to try at least one handload before I junk it. I have on hand : 156gr oryx 154 gr hornady sp 160gr PT 120 gr vmax Tell me what to try????

Well, I fired the test rounds. Recoil was definitely milder.... on par with a 7x57 I suppose... neat! I shot them off-hand at a box @ 50 yards.... 6 inchish group.... neat! I'll load some more and shoot them off the bags when I find time.
