    DIY Mule Deer

One thing about Colorado is the amount of public land that there is to hunt. Lived there for 12 years and still hunt there almost every year. I recommend looking at the draw results to see which unit you can draw with little or no points. That will determine where you wind up going. Just...

    257 ABLR ? 120-125?

Hornady 110gr ELDX, .465BC. About as good as it gets for a 1/10 twist .257 rifle. 3100 FPS is not out of the question for the aforementioned 257 Bob and 25-06. Carries 1000 FtLb out to 900 yds. That will reach out and touch something. Cheers Ed

    2019 Colorado hunting license change

I used to live in Colorado for 15yrs. I had to relocate for my job. I have no problem paying the non resident license cost. I just don't like being forced to purchase a license that I have no need or want. Utah does have Elk and deer, but I choose not to hunt here because of the overcrowding of...

    2019 Colorado hunting license change

Nine points should get you a tag pretty much anywhere, and I definitely feel your frustration. It take an investment of not just money, but a lot of time, especially waiting that long to just draw a tag you are wanting. Kind of a kick in the nuts... Grrrrrrrr. I gotta stop before I get fired...

    2019 Colorado hunting license change

I guess the $670 for the Bull tag or $496 for a cow tag just doesn't quite cover the cost for the privilege of hunting in the Peoples Republic of Colorado. Now just for the honor of applying I have to spend $81 on a NR small game license. If I wanted to hunt small game thats what I would...

    Quick Load Question

I read through that thread and got a lot of good info. There was one question posed that never got answered regarding the "C" and "T" that is listed on some of the powders. I think i know what they mean. "C" is for a powder that is compressible and "T" is for temp stable. Please correct me if I...

    Quick Load Question

Just got my copy of Quick Load V3.9. I have a question regarding making adjustments after I shoot my loads and have chronograph data. Do I adjust the Ba in the powder to get what I see to match what Quick Load projects. I have entered my Cartridge case H2O capacity, and COAL., and my results...

RL-22 and MRP.........the same? Ok. Help me understand.

For the cartridges I reload, 270W, and 257 Roberts, QL shows quite a bit of difference between RL22 and MRP. It also shows for both that with heavy bullets RL26 as top velocity with MRP 2nd, with negligible difference in Velocity, usually less that 30 FPS.. So for what I use... I would say that...
