Favorite powder for .308WIN in a carbine barrel?

IMR-4064/4895, RL-15 or Win 748 is where I would start. Varget or Benchmark would be solid choices as well. I bet you would find it harder to find a bad powder than you will finding a good powder.

Exactly why I said they probably aren't big sellers is why they were cut.

    280 Remington deer/pig bullet

Hornady has done a good job discontinuing items that aren't as "modern". I suppose these items aren't big sellers in todays market of wanting longer range tough bullets. I wish they still had .243 100 grain SP but they are no longer offered.

    270 Win

Looks like the same results my bud has gotten from the last 6-8 Remington SPS he has bought. Good shooters in every one of them. Fine shooting there!!

    280 Remington deer/pig bullet

Just purchased a 280 and need to get a deer/pig load worked up. Thinking of either a 150 grain Ballistic Tip/Partition or a 160 Accubond/Partition. Our place is mostly timber and even when I do hunt our field a shot wont reach 150 yards. 99% of the shots I take are 75 yards or less and I...

.458 300 Partition?? Found some now need data.

Guy I was just going through an old thread where you had pics of the A-Frame and the Hornady FP. That FP looks like a good bullet and have read a bit about it too.

.458 300 Partition?? Found some now need data.

You read correctly. Actually did think about working up a load with some and maybe kill a few deer then set aside in case I do get to go on an elk hunting trip in timber. Hoping to buy a few more too. May look at another 300-350 grain bullet for deer. Had thought about a cast bullet of some...

.458 300 Partition?? Found some now need data.

Looking for the load data for a 45-70 and 300 grain Partition. My manuals must be on both sides of manufacture for this bullet as one has no 45-70 data and the other just has the BT. It would be much appreciated if somebody could help me out. Any 1 powder to try before rounding up...
