For a hog the accubond is great, I've dropped a few with them.. all my shots are head shots and they pass through with no problem.. a ballistic tip usually ends up in the head cavity..

I would stay away from the accubond on Whitetail, I had 2 deer run off when they were double lung and heart shot with the 90 grain accubond. I switch to the 90 grain ballistic tip and did not have that problem. The accubond left a pencil size hole on both sides, no expansion and the internal...
Yes, looks as if there was no expansion..the exit hole was as small as the entry hole.. not much internal damage compared to what i got from BT

These Alabama doe are small this year.. i will be loading the 95gr BT for my last hunt...
Every deer i shot last year with BT's didnt walk far.. I switched to Accubonds because ther were on sale at SPS

I do not take shoulder shots because I hunt for meat. Every shot that I take is double long hard or head shot. Before switching to accubond I used ballistic tip and never had a deer take more than a step or two and drop.

Hunted yesterday and had 2 does come into the field, 90yrds max. Pulled the trigger and first doe runs off, second takes a few steps and stops, i shoot again and second doe runs off... Im baffled because i know the rifle is sited in and shooting great... i waited a few minutes and decided to go...
Leave the load where it is if it is accurate and buy a limb saver recoil pad. the winchester recoil pad that they sell at Walmart works well, my 14yr old uses on on his 270 and loves it

I am loading some 150 grain LRAB in 7mm Mag, do these bullets like to be loaded long or can they be loaded to standard length.. my rifle chamber measures 3.44 to lands
