    Accuracy Changes

    if you have a factory stock on this rifle , this where your problems is. from my experience with a REM 700 factory stock I could not get consistency out of my loads due to the stock.

    What am I doing wrong?

    by chance are your loads at 100% capacity? and you are not compressing the loads down far enough. it seems the loaded rounds are the only ones doing this. something to look at.

    i just came upon a new 1985MR in 450 caliber , it looks like it has never been fired. the seller even stated this. I paid $550 for it. the price on the box that came with rifle said $489.00 said he bought this two years ago. What does the "MR" stand for? my plans for the rifle is to use it...

    if you are using these rounds for hunting, you should be fine with what you have. your POI will not change all that much that you will miss the so called "kill Zone" on a animal. on the other hand if you want to be really precise then buy yourself a bench-rest seating die.     the Brown Truck dropped off the press today, I'm impressed with the press. not quite as bulky as i anticipated it to be. which is good, it will be a learning curve with the opening being in the front instead of the side like other presses.     well i guess I should be happy with it then, i started using thier dies also like them more than RCBS's. BTW cabelas has it for $239.00 most other places were back ordered for it prices were all close to one another.

    does anyone here have the forster co-ax press? if so, how do you likt it? I sold my old rcbs, which I bought in the early 80's. i always seemed to pinch my fingers when seating bullets with it. just not enough room for the 300 win mag.

    I have some nosler brass I was going to use with berger 185 vld's and I used the "N" thinking it was for nosler. I just added nosler to the list and the outcome was pretty much inline with the norma brass. the spread I have using RL-22 is 72.2 - 75.0 grains to stay in the normal pressure range...

    POP why do you say Norma? I have some Nosler brass and want to work a load up with. I wanted to stay within the normal pressure range for my loads. Is their a way I can add Nosler brass to this? what about the @ what is this for?

    I was wondering on the quick load under the Cartridge section for the 300 win mag it has @ R F N and W listed after the cartridge is this for the type of case bing used for a load? it seems that is what it is for , just that I do not see this for other cartridge's listed.
