    When they dont go down...???

Best way to keep that from happening again? Don't shoot a second deer till you've looked for the first one. Pretty simple. In life, sure, in hunting, well, I've never accidentally shot anything. You mean like how you just questioned mine? Even though I'm not the one who'd shot a second...

    When they dont go down...???

Think what you like. Well, ban away then if you feel the need. I feel no need to change who I am, because someones feelings might be hurt if I don't talk the same as they do. I'm not trying to impress anyone. I merely have a belief that hunting is serious business, and as such people need...

    When they dont go down...???

Put my pride in my pocket...Really not sure where I've been prideful. Not sure why my ego was called out either? Quite sure I've called out physically able guys for doing exactly the same thing though. And quite positive I've never shot a second deer when the first one didn't fall. Even...

    When they dont go down...???

Kudo's to you to making your lil bro's hunts successful. The only thing I take for granted is the belief that when you shoot at one critter, you owe it to that critter to see if its hit or not. My ego has sweet F*ck All to do with it. CL shot at a deer. He should of waited till someone came...

    When they dont go down...???

Well, I've never been accused of sugar coating anything. Feel that it was abrasive, or what ever, thats your perogitive. You asked for a sign that the first one was hit? Well, you may have missed a pretty obvious one in that you said she swapped ends at the shot and ran hard...Tail up or...

    When they dont go down...???

I'm suprised at the responses. You dropped the ball. You shot at a deer, and decided it would be too difficult to go check for blood so you shot another one. Damn right your buddy is pissed for having to cut a tag. You are lucky he just didn't say no. And you are even more lucky that there...

300 rum and win 264. mag loads.

In the 264 I use 72gr of H870 under 140gr X bullets, and in the RUM 96.5 gr under 168gr TSX's... Both seem to work woderfully. Those are the eatin' critter loads. Coyote load is a 165NBT over 96gr of H1000 out of the 300RUM. Very effective. Hard on hides though.

    6.5mm 125 grain Partitions

Unless you used a TSX....That would of been better yet....

    Barnes TSX FAILURES.

Cool pictures. Although, I'm kind of surprised at how well the TSX's expanded in dirt. I don't know what I would of expected, but not that. Thought that they needed something with at least a little bit of fluid in it to start exansion in the tip, but apparently not (as per the statement by...

    Barnes TSX FAILURES.

Hmmm....Always shed their petals? Yet you have not shot them on animals? Hardly definitive data. I have had only one XFB break petals off, and I was damn glad it did. BIG black bear at 7 yards, 300UM, 150grain XFB, broadside into the shoulder knuckle at some where around 3600fps. If I'd of...
