    130 Grain 277 Ballistic Tip

    Too cold and snowy here is Wisconsin to drag the chronograph out! Nosler manual shows a little over 2900 FPS. Oldtrader, I used to shoot 130 Silver tips years ago! they were a good bullet! A gun shop near me still has a pile of them in bulk, $25.00 a hundred. I might try them out! Great group!

    Working on some loads for my new Weatherby Vanguard Stainless in 270 WIN. Ballistic Tips have always been my "go to" bullet for accuracy! 55 grains H4831sc, CCI BR 2 primers. this load is not real speedy, but it's a good starting point! .287 3 shot at 100 yards

    ER SHaw Barrels

    I had a Ruger 77 Mark ll, had a Timney trigger, a HS stock and a 26" shaw barrel Med Heavy in 6.5-06. that rifle would put 5 shots in to one hole at 100 yards! shaw installed it. if you have a friend with an FFL they will discount the barrel but not the smithing! I still think that is the case...
