Let's not forget the Specialty Handguns...

JD338, I've only punched paper with the 260 AB's. MV with H4895 is 2010 fps through my Oehler. VV N140 might give another 150+/- fps, but I have not had the chance to work loads up with it yet. Hope to have some terminal results on GA whitetails/hogs this fall. BTW, I have the SSK barrel as...

Let's not forget the Specialty Handguns...

I'll add my vote for a Contender/Encore section and second what gravedigger says. My .375 JDJ loves 260 AB's

    Discontinued?

FWIW, I have been looking for the .35 225 BT's and finally found some @ Widener's. They still have 25 boxes (after my order  ). http://www.wideners.com/itemview.cfm?st ... 81|292|328 Sako

    Food Plots!

Everything Rick Smith said applies to whitetail hunting and quality deer management (QDM) in Georgia as well. We do the same thing on our club of 3K acres. +1 Rick! Having grown up hunting in So. Oregon, I completely understand the ???'s from some folks on food plots and hunting over them...

    ???: Minimum impact velocity w/ .375 cal 260gr Accubonds

JD, Great info on the AB's expanding down to 1600 fps! Will post "final" hunting velocities with the 260 AB from my 375 JDJ. I'm slowly working up loads. Whitetail season will be upon us next month and I expect shots to be 100 yds or less here in Georgia. Terminal results to follow if I'm...

    ???: Minimum impact velocity w/ .375 cal 260gr Accubonds

Nosler guys: Superb accuracy  with the 260 AB's out of my Contender in .375 JDJ (14" SSK). What is your recommended minimum impact velocity for expansion with the above bullet? Elk, deer and hogs will be in the crosshairs. Thanks, Sako

    35 whelen, 225 ballistic tip

Rogue, Been a Whelen fan for 15 years with 225 and 250 Partitions and others. I just got a box of .35 225 BT's that I'd like to use on whitetails. Read your above on them being explosive. Can you elaborate on the circumstances/velocity/range, etc? Mines a stock Ruger M77. Thanks, Sako BTW...

260 gr Accubonds in .375 JDJ

Still working loads up for my Contender. I have a 14 inch SSK barrel and am getting 2050 fps with outstanding accuracy. I'm very curious as to terminal performance with these bullets. I did read on this board that they were intended for mv's of 2500+ fps. Anyone have any experience with them...

    25-06 100 gr Ballistic tips

First time poster here, but longtime Nosler fan. My first deer fell in the scrub oaks of So. Oregon back in '71 to an original (with the cannelures) 180 gr Partition in 30-06 handloaded by my Dad. Loaded them since. The .25 100gr. BT is extremely accurate in my custom 25-06, but I don't use...
