Well last time I shot, I used my first loaded up AB ever and had them .010 off the lands. They were a hair long for the mag box but shot best with 57.5 and 58 grains of powder so today I loaded up 12 rounds 3 at 57.5 gr and .024" off the lands, 3 at 57.5 gr and .034 off the land. Then I made 3 each at 58 gr and .024 and 58 gr and .034" off the lands. I wanted to go .02 and .03 but my seating die got the my bullets a little deep so I stuck with the .024 and .034. I hope they group well at 100 with my 06.

All you can do is try.
What weight bulet are you loading in your 30-06?

Have you started load development with your 338 WM yet?

I am using 165 AB. For the last few years, I have used 180 SST bullets but last year, I did not have the greatest results on a buck I shot. I want something what will stay together better.

I just got some brass, bullets, and dies from POP. I want to get the 06 going first so I am ready for this fall. The .338 will be later this fall/winter when I start my full time job and can get a nice scope for it.

Just an FYI, the loads for my '06 have a COL of 3.39" using the 180AB and 180ET. Don't remember how far off the lands this is, I think it's around .020". This also works well in the Vanguard magazine.
