Crappy day to shoot, 35 degrees and a 20 mph 1/4 value wind. Now I’m messing with this new Ballistics app

No I didn’t fire a fifth 300 grain. Took a look through the spotting scope and decided that load will work.

Pleased with the 275 Rigby. Probably just stick with 4350, tweak the col a little. But out of a 1A with no accurizing work I’m pretty happy.
Velocity is 2835. I will try 140s just to see if I get over 2900.

The cartridge is way cool, and the groups look as if they will work just fine.

Way cool. Your weather mirrors ours. Cold and windy. Funny come March, 30f feels like a heat wave...

Both of those will do nicely, looks like your load development is pretty much complete!

I think it’s time to put up some plates and bang some steel

For sure those will work.

SC,

Nice work. Those loads will certainly do.

That's a good article one the 7x57 vs 7-08. I've been using 7-08 data for my Winchester M70 and Ruger #1 rifles in 7x57. I'm getting very good results too.

Yes an excellent article, Boddington happens to be a favorite writer of mine and a Marine too!

Good article and a fan of Boddinton as well. My .275 shoots the 140 and 150 AB into .8 inches according to the Ballistic-X app but at relatively modest velocity. I sure would like to get 2900-2950 out of it. My logic is my .338; .30/06 and 6.5 are in that velocity range. At least for hold over out to 400 yards walking around with any of the four rifles my sight picture on a deer or a 10 inch plate is roughly the same.
Good lord that was a hell of a run on sentence.
I need coffee
