Some friends and I are looking at going to wyoming for a speed goat hunt and I see that nosler has come out with some 110 gr. Accubonds. Does anybody have any good load data for them yet for a .270 WSM, or know when they will be made available?
Buddy of mine shoots a lot of the 110 V-Max's out of his Coyote Light in .270 WSM. He runs 56.5 grains of RE-15 for pert'near 3500fps IIRC. That load is pure hell on coyotes and what-not... I suppose an Accu-Bond would be real similar in velocity/trajectory. It shoots pretty flat... but he still prefers the 140 Accu-Bonds for anything bigger than a coyote. ~josh
As a long time Wyoming goat hunter, I'd say stick to the 130gr or 140gr AccuBond. Unless you will be hunting on a preserve, be prepared to see alot of 300 to 500 yard butt shots in a 30 mph cross wind. At the range and angle, the extra mass can be very helpful.
