120 BT 7MM08

I ran a 120 BT out of my 16.5" barreled 7mm-08 today. It exited jug 3 and was stopped in between the third and fourth. It weighed 73.2 for 61% retained weight.

That's the bullet used by Steven and Storm in their rifles (.280 & 7mm-08) for four one-shot kills in 2012, two pronghorns, two mule deer.

What do you think about this bullet for a 250 lb black bear? I have a Thompson encore pistol and rifle in 7mm-08. This pistol barrel shoots the 120 BT real nice. rifle barrel is new to me. Would like to have one load for both barrels

I would have no problem using that bullet loaded in that particular cartridge. It will get the job done.

If I didn't already have a life time supply of 140 AB's and BT's on hand I'd convert in a heart beat !
