I use them in my Ruger #1 in 7-08
And they work great on deer. I aim just behind the shoulder and put them in the heart/lung area and they don’t go far. Turns everything into soup.

Absolutely. I've used this bullet in the 280 Remington and my wife and I have used it in our 280 AI's. The farthest I've ever tracked a deer while using this bullet was 40-50 yards but most dropped in their tracks.

I’ve enjoyed a lot of years with a 7RM and 140 BT.
They will definitely be more predictable and expansion more “controlled” at 7/08 velo. Can’t imagine them being anything but fantastic.

Well just to be redundant, I run them in my #1 275 Rigby pushed by my last two pounds of Rl17 at 2950fps. They kill deer just fine; my Grandaughter will use the 140 accubonds on elk next year. We had to postpone her cow hunt this year. She’s just soooooooo busy in high school

Never used the 140 BT on deer out of 7-08 but have seen over a dozen whitetails shot with the 120gr BT out of a 7-08 and the farthest I have ever seen a deer run is 40-50 yards. Great bullet for deer.

Whitetail are not hard to kill at all. I shoot them with my bow out to 50yds with an arrow traveling around 300fps. In 7-08 ive used the Hornady IL 139 Nos AB 140 around 2800fps. They go down

Their will to live can be impressive.
Got a good friend with a famous tracking dog, he makes quite a side job out of finding deer.
