I bought 500 of these as a cheaper alternative practice bullet for Frank and I 6.5-47 Lapua. Tried it at 100 meter and I was impressed. 40 grains of H 4350 pushed this bullet at over 2800 fps on Franks rifle and about 2785 on mine. Accuracy is outstanding.

Franks 10 shot group @ 100 meter

I fired this 5 shot group with my rifle, I mean my wife's rifle since I have to reduced the length of pull and raised the cheek piece to fit her properly. I had a hard time lining up the scope but managed to shoot this 5 shot group. It's still impressive even though the two bullet split from the 3 below it. I put the rifle away after I shot this group to save the bullet for my wife's final practice on Wednesday.

That is indeed impressive, Rommel. I've found the A-Max to be a good bullet for punching paper.

Rommel I shoot them out of my 6.5-284 a lot, extremely accurate, inexpensive, good .bc .588 g1 and work well on deer also. I wish they would make a 130 for the 6.5x47 with a similar bc of the Berger.

I bought it really with intention to use in my 6.5-284. Frank want's it in his rifle instead of Berger 130, so I loaded some for the 47. I'll stay with 130 Berger since my Krieger is a bit slow when compared with Hart in Franks rifle.

DF, I have been monkeying around with the Amax's a little in the 7WSM, in the 162, but I have wanted to try the 140 in my 264WM. I think they are hard to beat for punching paper, steel and deer/antelope. They have been pretty easy bullets to tune as well.
