Shot from my 6.5 PRC at 300 yards. 3000 fps muzzle velocity. 2550 fps estimated impact velocity. Found in 5th gallon water jug. First jug was obliterated into a bunch of pieces. Appeared to track perfectly straight through the jugs. 77 gr recovered weight.

Excellent performance. That bullet will put meat in the freezer.

45 % weight loss shows quite clearly that the LR is softer.

I have a decent pile of 175 ABLR's set aside for my Mashburn Super. I plan on trying to make them shoot. I have struck out on a number of the others. Another Mashburn shooter used the 168's last year and had great results with them around 3100 launch speed.

Scotty , the front on these are very soft . if I run my brass through my non-bushing full length die and seat a bullet I get a ring around the copper nose , just below the plastic tip . if I run a expanding mandrel in , then seat the bullet , it's ok . I get this same ring from a compressed powder charge . watch for this , when you give these ABLR's a try again . this could be causing accuracy problems .

Gotcha. I remember that happening. I’ll try to watch my concentricity during season and see if that may be my issue. If they work there ain’t too much out of reach.
