145 Speer GrandSlam out of my 7mm-08.. went 5 jugs, weighed 109.8. Retained 75% of its weight, Frontal diameter measured .542

Speer bullets are increasingly scarce here in the far north. I used them extensively in years gone by, however. The 175 GS was a favourite in my 7RM.

I have used the 160 GS bullets in my 7mm Mag years ago. They killed game quickly and efficiently.

That would be a really good bullet out of your 7mm-08, I remember the old style 30 cal G.S. bullets retained around 75% of their weight as well and similar speeds.

That bullet looks pretty good Dan. I have some more of them if you'd like to work with them a little more. I got them from Bill Casey. They are wrapped in brown paper, so I'd imagine they are the old ones..

I had great results with that bullet in my 280.
