15 antelope points in Wyoming???

I have 15 antelope points in Wyoming . I have my own ideas in the red desert, but where would you spend the points were they yours?

Also Wife and brother are splitting 14 points . Some of the easy picks have bad winter kill from 2 years ago. Any suggestions for them too?

I’m watching this cause I think I have 7-8 points. Never hunted prong bucks.

most 7/8 point units were/are a good hunt, with the caveat….
Nothing beats current boots on the ground. I hunted a unit annually when you could get extra buck tags in season. And you could draw a doe tag no problem. (Those days are gone)
Anyway, I had 7/8 points (so this was 7/8 years ago) and wanted to hunt a unit that was a “blue chip” lol….. after we hunted I drove down and scouted Unit ** . I’m so glad I didn’t spend my points. After scouting a few days (while season was open) I decided to wait. I would have been so disappointed to “blow” my points.
Being out of state can make it harder to “scout” . It was a lot better when you could go hunt a unit with no points, then go scout a unit you’re hoping to draw. But those days are mostly over. Put in for a dream unit knowing you will not draw and then hope to get a second choice tag. Hunt Then go scout ….

I saw quite a few good bucks south west of Casper last year, something like 17 before we found the one we wanted. I think it was a 5 point unit.

The red desert still reigns supreme. Like many hunters,I’m gonna sit on my points for awhile and let the population bounce back. I figure one more really good hunt and then just give
My kids an opportunity once in awhile.
We hunted sage grouse there in September, we did see some antelope but it breaks my heart remembering earlier years when we would see hundreds in a day. Grouse hunting was outstanding.

I’m not entirely sure but, I just used 4 points for the toughest hunt I’ve been on to date. Yes, my friend and I were both successful on bucks but it was about the same as what I’ve experienced on leftover tags 10 years ago. I’d expect that you could do pretty well with 15 points but my guess would be that 15 is roughly similar to 7/8 pt hunt a decade ago.
