A friend gave me some 30 cal 150 grain scirocco's to load for his 30-06. But I don't have Swift manual.

Can anyone help me out??? Will my old standard 30-06 load using 52 grains of IMR 4064 work?? I've found it to be quite accurate in several different rifles over the decades using Rem Cor-Loct bullets, Noslers and Hornady's. Nosler lists 52.0 grains of 4064 as max for their 150's; Hornady lists 53.6 grains as max load for a 150 grain bullet. I'll be using CCI primers in Rem brass.

Thanks for any assistance.

The Swift No 2 Manual shows a maximum of 50.0 grains of IMR 4064 for the 150 grain Scirocco in the 20-06. They used a Federal 210 primer for their load workup. This load produced a velocity of 2927 fps in their 24 inch barrel. The bearing surface on the Scirocco tends to be longer than many other bullets.

Does Swift list a max OAL in its manual for this cartridge????

Many thanks for your assistance.
