This was shot out of a AR-10 into jugs at 25 yards. This IS NOT a hunting bullet. It fragmented into several parts went through 3 jugs all the pieces were found on the ground muzzle velocity was around 2660. The weight of the fragments were 103.1gr.

Without a doubt but it was something else to watch. All 3 jugs blew up. Targets yes but that's all I'd trust it for. I can only imagine what a large mag would do to it at 3300!

We did the same thing on Sunday with the 142 SMK out of the 260AI. Same effect, 3 jugs and bits and pieces of the bullet all over. I can't really say it is any different than any Berger I have seen posted here or elsewhere though.

In the olden days we would use the Sierra target bullets on deer with our 30-06's and 300 win mag's. I can assure you the deer will no he has been shot! I fail to see why these target bullets would not do the same.

My buddy at the farm uses the 175 gr SMK in his 30-378 Wby for crop damage deer. The shoulder shot exits are huge, 3x the size of this one made by a 338 RUM 300 gr AB at 250 yds.
