Been a spell since anybody put any info on here. 17's have come quite a ways since 2015....updates anybody?
I have a Savage 25 Walking Varminter in 17 Hornet. I have been reloading for a spell with it. Hornady brass(since nobody else has taken the time to make brass for it), with FedGM205M primers, 11gr IMR4198, & 20 gr Hollow Points that I bought off of Midway for .08 @ piece. So far I am getting 1/4 to 1/2" groups @ 100yds.
Good varmint load so far for me. I have made 200yd shots consistently on varmints bout the size of a bowling pin.
I noticed frankm said his primers were backing out slightly, maybe bout .003. I have noticed mine are doing the same. Any info on this subject?
