175gr ABLR at 3200 & 1600fps

Ran them into jugs today to verify close in and 1200 yd impacts from my 28 Nosler. They performed well as expected. The high speed impacts were impressive. I'm pretty sure ELDs from Hornaday would've failed. I'll test the 195gr EOL Bergers later. I like what I'm seeing and I think this is one bullet you can trust.

Encouraging data, Scott. I haven't used the 175 grain ABLR on anything yet. However, I can attest that the 160 grain ABLR from a 280 performs very well at reasonably close range (75 yards on elk and 40 yards on mule deer). Actually, about any bullet would have worked well at those distances. However, those were the shots that were presented. :grin:

Yeah, that 175 looks pretty good considering the speed you put on them. I can't imagine much running far.

The first two jugs were blown to pieces and landed 40' away! 8)
