175gr ablr

Finally decided to load some ablr's in the 28nosler. 1st 2 loads look good. 1 on the left is 80gr retumbo and 3/4". Right is 80.5gr and 5/8". 81gr opened right up and 81.5 started seeing pressure. Not sure i even want to try and tweak load 2 lol, might just load a box as is for my elk hunt and call it good. Load 2 chrono'd at 3145fps.

Couple questions what rifle did you use? Brass, primer cartridge over all length? My Christensen Mesa 28 have identical numbers to yours. Would be nice toc9mpare.

Browning xbolt max lr, hdy brass 3.553oal. Max mag length, not sure how far off the lands.fed215 primer

That 80.5gr load looks good to me. It would get you any elk as long as you do your part. Good hunting.
