While I was dropping off an XP-100 (284 Winchester) that I had sold to a friend, I also picked up a couple of rebarrel jobs that I had been waiting for.
It made for a fun morning.
I had a couple of scopes (Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14 FFP and a Burris XTR-II 8-40) that had rings on them from other pistols, and was just able to throw the scopes on both of these specialty pistols.
Borden Center Grip clone XP in 6GT (McMillan stock) & 25 Creedmoor H-S Precision HSP with a H-S stock.
The Borden pistol has the Burris optic, and the HSP 25 creed has the Leupold.
I had purchased some ammunition from Clay‘s cartridges for the 6GT using gap brass and the 109 grain M bullet, and for the 25 creed I’ve had already picked up some Hornady 25 Creedmoor ammo with the 134 grain M bullet.
I knew that there was a chance these guns could get done before antelope and deer season, and I wanted them to be able to shoot the very day that I got them.
After taking care of some other things, I was able to run out to the range before an afternoon appointment and got both of them bore sighted and zeroed at 100 yards.
Zeroed the turrets.
Used my Garmin for chronoing.
Both are 15.9 inch barrels.
The 6GT is running the 109 at 2630 ft./s.
The 25 Creedmoor is running the 134 at 2617 ft./s
I don’t even have pictures yet, as I ran out of time.
