2 in and 1 out?

I'm trying to finalize a couple loads in my 7-08- 120's with RL15, and 150's with RL17. The rifle shot 5 out of 6 groups the other day that were under 3/4" @ 100, but they all exhibited the dreaded 2 in/1 out pattern. Is this a symptom of something I can fix? Those 3/4" groups are nice, but sub 1/2" groups would be awesome...

I ask because I feel like someone on here has mentioned a fix for this before. Any help would be appreciated.

Jason,

Turn your seating die plunger 1/4 turn in and reshoot. It might take a few attempts but you should be able to walk the flyer into the group.

I believe 1/4 turn would only be like ten or fifteen thousandths. Think that would be enough? The bullets are already pretty far from the lands with the 150 ablr at max magazine length of 2.900", and the 120 bt's grouped about the same with the same charge of RL15 at 2.800, 2.825, and 2.85.

I'll try it. Plan is to load some more tomorrow, and shoot them Thursday evening.

Thanks again, everyone.

Jim is spot on. A 1/4 turn on the stem should get you where you wanna be with it.

Thanks again. I loaded some last night. Hopefully I can shoot them tonight. If this works, I'll have a half-MOA load with 150 ablr's at 2860ish fps. I think that would be just about the last load I would ever need.

Edit to add: ...as long as my pressure isn't too high. Seems good so far, but I'm interested to see how the primer pockets hold up after a few loadings.
