The first deer is my deer. He was a 27 inch wide 4 by 4. I shot him with my 30-06 with 165 grain AccuBond. The second deer is my girlfriends first ever deer. It was a 20 inch wide 5 by 5. She shot it with a .270 shooting factory loads.
Laker, nice deer congrats. Besides killing the deer, how happy are you with the 165 AccuBond out of your 3006? I did not get a chance to shoot anything this year with that combo.
I love the 165 grain nosler accubonds. They are really accurate and every animal I have shot with them has dropped. To bad i havnt found a bullet after shooting an animal. Every bullet goes in and leaves a quarter size exit and the animals never move, well except them dropping to the ground. That in my mind is perfect bullet performance.
 Laker, great job. The only problem with a girlfriend that likes to hunt is you may end up having to flip a coin to see who gets to shoot. If it comes up heads, she wins, if it comes up tails, she still wins.
Haha no i think i get more excited when she is about to shoot an animal than she does. I would let her shoot first cause its just as much excitement for me as me shooting a deer. She still has to get her cow elk now so hopefully in the next week and a half she will have that. Now she wants her own gun and she wants a pink stock for it  But at least she likes to hunt. Im thinking a 7mm-08 would be a good gun for her.
