2013 Oregon Blacktail Hunt

[TBASTIAN]

Just returned from our annual 2013 Oregon Blacktail hunt. This year was tougher than most, incredible wind and rain seemed to have pushed these migrating deer lower than we normally hunt. Ended up shooting this forked horn on opening morning, at 60 yards, with a Browning BAR in .30-06...it was the last buck we saw for the rest of the hunt.

Nice Blacktail! I hunted these deer for 21 years in Western WA and they are a very WORTHY game animal. Brings back memories of some very exhausting days.
