So I thought I would share a few pics from our 2013 season so far. We have been blessed to be a part of several fun hunts. Luckily we have a few more to go!!

We started out with a Family hunt in Wy for antelope. We had numerous goats come in and my son killed his 2nd goat (first with a crossbow), I killed my 2nd goat with my bow. My Wife also killed a doe with the crossbow. I still need to download that pic. I will add that tomorrow.

Then I got the privilege of helping my buddy get his once in a lifetime Shiras moose here in Utah. 45" bull. He shot this bull with Ballsitic Silvertips 168 gr. factory loads at what I remember as about 125 yards. 2 shots but the first did the job.

Then I spent some time in Wyoming hunting elk with my Dad and Brother. They had tags, I was the caller and pack mule... Had some close calls on the bowhunt along with almost a foot of snow. My brother and Dad went back and my Bro. shot this 5 pt bull today with his Savage .270 WSM with 150 gr. Interbond handloads. Shot distance was about 60 yards and the bull dropped instantly. Complete pass through. High shoulder shot with very effective performance.

My son has a cow tag to hunt in December where we hope to put the .270 win to use with the Partition load I have been working on. Hope you enjoy the photos and have luck on all your hunts!

Wow, that is pretty awesome all very nice critters. Really think the antelope are cool especially with a bow and crossbow and the moose is really great too. Congrats to your brother on his elk as well.

This has been a very successful season. Anytime you can take game with your bow or crossbow, it is successful. Your buddy's Shiras moose is a great example of the species. The elk your brother took should be excellent table fare. He is a good looking animal. Congratulations to all the hunters on a successful season. We're still waiting for snow. I'll see if I'm as anxious after six months or so. Still, it is late in coming this year.

Here is a pic of my wife with her antelope. Shot at 30 yards and ran about the same. Perfect lung shot. This is her 2nd antelope and 1st with a crossbow. There are no better hunts then the ones shared with family!
