Well our yearly hunting with heroes antelope hunt went without a hitch. We had 17 disabled Hunter show up from across the United States. All of them did pretty well and we were elated with the results.
For those who don't know I am the co-chairman of the Cheyenne chapter of hunting with heroes it is a non-profit organization where we invite with the help of Game and fish all disabled veterans can come to Wyoming and we offer them a hunt and many different surprises and prices. For more information you can go to https://huntingwithheroes.org/.

A big shout out to NOSLER for donating throughout all these years parting gifts for our disabled veteran hunters20221008_174715.jpg

Special shout out to Laura Kelley. Our Navy Veteran shot the biggest pronghorn. She smoked all the fellas! Her antelope scored 77 inches!
For that she received a free shoulder mount and other prizes from us.

Here she is again with her guide Codee. Yes, we do provide guides for the hunt. Codee is a Greek huntress herself!

The best part of the 3 day paid for party, I think) is the quilting of our vets. See above for pictures.
An organization called Quilts of valor makes these quilts for our vets. So far they have made by hand and presented over 324 thousand quilts.
Each quilt is different and unique.
This is the explanation the lady quilters give.
"Each quilt has 3 layers.
The top layers has many different colors-----this symbolizes the diversity of the USA
The middle part is the material that keeps you warm---this symbolizes the love they put in each quilt to keep our vets warm and secure in hard times
The bottom part is the part. The base that keeps everything together---this symbolizes the backbone of all veterans and people who keep the USA free and strong"

Hard to see a dry eye in the place when this goes on.

This is wonderful.
Please tell everyone that makes this happen, "Thank You!" on my behalf

That’s very honorable of you to take your time to help those who sacrificed themselves for our freedom.

Thanks Fotis to you and everyone involved! Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved in "Helluva Hunt" (Douglas Wyo.) I am aware of the impact these types of events can have. Great fellowship and honors for deserving individuals. CL
