204 Ruger

What's everyone using in their 204's? I'm loading for my FIL's No1, I believe it's a shorter barrel, I've only shot it a few times. I have 32/34 grain bullets on hand, he liked 25.0gr Rx10 with the Varmint Nightmares, but it didn't have as much velocity but drop as 32gr vmax and 28.0gr H335. I'm almost out of Rx10, gave him some of the 34s with Varmint powder, will get a range report tomorrow.

What are others finding for decent loads with 32/34 grainers?

I've been wondering why AA2200 wouldn't work, it's slower than the 4198's.

A2200 and a 39 Blitzking does really good in my Savage walking varminter. A lot of guys say 10x and Tac are good options, too. Look at H335 as well. It's not a hard cartridge to get to shoot great.

I run 35 Bergers and imr8208xbr in my 20” Ruger. I’m at around 3700 if I remember correctly and accuracy is good. They’re hell on coyotes as well!

I use Win 748 or Benchmark. I got the best speeds and accuracy with them of the powders I tried. Also H335 was good.

I loaded up cfe223, tac and h322 this morning to see what will work best. Something will tickle his fancy I'm sure.
