Just wondered if anyone was shooting a hornet in t/c encore ?Have been pondering buying a barrel in a hornet, just thought I would see if anyone could tell me how they grouped ..

I get 5/8" to 1 inch groups with mine so far...only had it to the range twice. Seems to like 12.2 grains of Lil' Gun w/ WW brass or 13.0 grains with RP brass, both with 45 grain Hornady "Hornet" SP bullets seated OAL to 1.750". Last time out, I played a little with seating depth but that's teh OAL it seems to like best in my Encore. I have the 24" blued rifle barrel. Hope that helps. From what I have read, it seems to be giving the CZ a run for its money in accuracy and better than the Ruger in the accuracy department.

Yote did your barrel come with sights on it or was it a smooth barrel ?Been talking to guy from nathchez shooters supply he says the t/c 24 inch hornet barrel comes smooth is this correct ? I thought about the cz 527 but I thought what the heck already have the encore might as well put it to use if they will perform . :)

Came with sights but I took them off and put in the screws, except for the front. Looks better to me anyway. The CZ 527 is an awful nice rifle and I'm sure plenty accurate, but for less than half the cost, you can have a new barrel. I wouldn't mind adding a 22LR and 20 ga to my barrel collection.

Ya I'd take the sites off mine too I think it looks better ,not snagging them every thing you get close to either.Natchez shooter supply has them on back order for $245.00 seems like a good price to me would like to find a stainless barrel seems like the blue in the hornet is all you can find .

I love Lilgun with the 35 gr Hornady V-maxes.

Not a long range wonder but a great little combination!

wildman, I was wondering what barrels/configurations you currently have? I have all rifle barrels for mine so far although I am thinking of getting a 20 ga vented ribbed barrel just for an all around fun rabbit/pheasant shooter. I currently have 22 hornet, 22-250, 7mm08, 209x50. The hornet and 7mm08 are 24" and the others are 26". I'm thourougly impressed with all of them so far. The muzzleloader barrel has accounted for more Colorado big game than any other rifle I own! I even shot a turkey with it this past Sept.

Yote I have a 26 inch 204 ruger barrel, and a 24 inch 280 rem. both shoot well under a inch @ 100 yards .Very pleased with the T/C Encore ....Geo.
