Took the grandsons Savage Mark II match to test various ammo types..after letting him plink off 200 Remington golden bullets at pop cans and whatever else drew his attention, I ran a bore snake and started testing. A clear winner appeared in the SK Standard Plus, this is a standard round nose , so I figure good for targets. Maybe small game if you go for the noggin. These were shot at 50 yards. Aguila subsonic HP and CCI velocitor appear to be good choices for small game. This exemplifies how much difference there is in ammo, lesson learned is never give up on a rifle after just a few.

Something else I've found is that it's a god idea to shoot 10 rounds before shooting for groups of the same load. Does make a difference from what I've experienced. Dan.

The rifle is certainly capable of good accuracy and the SK standard is definitely a standout. Looks good.
