220 Gr Partition, 30-06 need loads and velocity

I think RL 15 is too fast a burn for that heavy a bullet. I would look into using RL 22 or 4831 to start. Remembe heavier bullet=slower powder

Herbert,

I would start with RL22 first and IMR4350 second. Federal GM210M primers.

Hi guys I found a load on Noslers homepage for the 220 with 40,5-44,5grn RL15. Also found a load on another reloadingpage with 43-45,7grn for the 220.

Herbert,

Let us know how the RL15 load works out.
I still think you should try RL22.

Over the years I have used IMR 4350 and RL 19 in the 30-06.......around 52.0 of each with the 220gr.

Although not my favorite weight in the 30-06, I much prefer the 180 with the same powder.....at most 200gr.
