With my straight from the book loads using the Hornady 45 grain Spire Point, I have a 5-shot group of .82". If i throw out the first shot from a oiled barrel the flier its .52". Did this after I sighted it in.
Soon as I measure the distance to the lands the plan is to load up some .01" longer and progress shorter by .005" to find a sweet spot. I will do the same for the 40 grain HPV I have too. With 17.5grs of H4198 and the 45gr SP I getting 3050fps the 40gr should do 3200fps.
I put 35 rounds through it for break in now its load devleopment time. I will post pics when I have some groupings I proud of.
