223 Rem and 50 or 40 gr BT's?

What are you best most accurate loads you guys got in either weight?

What is accuracy velocity like?

My personal 223 loves the 40grainer with
Viht N133 26.0grains @ 3700 fps


The 50grainer you can't go wrong with Varget

25.0grains @ 3100fps.

Benchmark has also worked very well with both.

For Prairie Dogs in either .223 Rifles or .223 Contender Handguns I have shot a lot of the 40gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips. I have achieved the best accuracy with H-4198SC and H-322. I have been getting the 40's to 3650 FPS in the Rifles and 3200 FPS in the Handguns.

I just made the deal on a T/C Encore Rifle today in .223, and will be trying both the 40gr. & 50gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips in it.

I've had the best luck with th 40's in my 223's. Accuracy has been awesome!

Well if it gets here in time there will be a new Stainless-Steel T/C Encore Rifle with a 24" .223 Remington Barrel, 2.8x10x44mm Simmons ATEC Rifle Scope and some other goodies under my Christmas Tree. I really hate it when I have to buy my own Christmas presents, but at least I am assured of getting what I really want.

My CZ-527 American likes 27 gr of H-335 with the 40 gr BT. (Or 28.5 gr of W-748). It also likes 26 gr of H-335 with the 50 gr BT.
